Hi. I Started Anastrozole About 10 Days Ago. I'm Just Wondering How Long It Took Some Of You To Feel Side Effects.
@A MyBCTeam Member I'm always saying that there's no expiration date stamped anywhere on my body ! ā³ļøš¤ š
I had mild headache behind my eyes on day one and it stayed but diminished. After 2 weeks I started feeling aches and pains and fatigue. I have to push myself to get up every morning but I walk with my daughter for about 60 minutes, take a break, then go to gym with husband for 30 minutes of weights. I always feel better for moving and not once wished I would have stayed in bed.
I do have digestive issues, but I had those before cancer and I take a couple other meds that cause the same side effect to digestive system, so I think it's the meds all together hitting my weak spot. š¤·š¼āāļø
Most side effects have diminished with time (I'm 9 months in on Anastrozole). Hopefully, your experience will be gentle on your. I tell myself, it's only for 5 years. I can do it.
Wishing you the best.
@A MyBCTeam Member - you are right. Being able to be alive for your kids and get them into adulthood is a huge achievement. Im endlessly grateful for that. My daughter is 39 and my son is 43. They both have good jobs, own a house and have their own families. They will be fine and my grandkids will be fine too. Iām just one of those people that feels I still have so much to give to those I care about with me being at the top of that list. I want to give myself everything Iām able to and stay intact as I truly am. I do not feel like I am done yet š
Nonni, I am grateful I was able to see all 3 of my children into adulthood, that was my mission. Being a single mom I was afraid something would happen to me when they were young. My daughter recently confessed she was scared I would die when she was only 12 years old. But now my oldest is 37 and my twins are 27 so they aren't children anymore. They have their own jobs, make their own money so now I have to think about myself and the quality of life I must have.
My concern, also. I don't want to spend my life taking this pill for one thing, then another to counteract the side effects, etc., etc., etc. . Maybe, I would feel differently if I was a young woman, but, at 71, quality over quantity means a lot.
Does Anyone Know The Percentage That Anastrozole Will Prevent A Recurrence? Have Just Switched From Being On Tamoxifen š
I Am Looking For Women Who Are Taking Anaszole Or Have In The Past.
