Hi Ginger, sorry to hear of your daughter’s diagnosis with triple negative breast cancer. When I was diagnosed in March 2023 it was also overwhelming at the beginning, but I knew I needed to make a plan quickly with my surgeon and oncologist. When I went to the Breast center here in my town, they gave me a handbook called the handbook of breast cancer. It was very helpful, educated me about what to expect with treatments, surgery options etc. even had pages that you could write questions down and take with you to your doctors visits. I am still in treatment two more treatments of immunotherapy. Still have to meet with a second plastic surgeon before deciding who will do my reconstruction. I have been blessed to have a good support group with family and work friends. Have only had 2 episodes of nausea during a year of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. I had kidney cancer in 2014 and had my right kidney removed. I try to be grateful for the little things so many of us take for granted. Lean on my faith when things get so overwhelming. Will be praying for you both. 🙏🤗
