“ This is the single best description of #LongCovid I've heard from the media. A persistent infection leading to chronic inflammation and down the road possibly cancer. A covid infection can reduce your bodies natural defenses against cancer. 👏”

(So, this is one very reasonable reason to
wear a mask in public.)

Mask wearing.

My take on mask wearing is that it saved me from getting Covid from my PT.
I have never stopped wearing a mask.

Had one on during PT treatment in late November 2023 in a small room perhaps 8 ft by 6ft with the door closed and no air purifier in the room for 45 minutes. So, this was a small, confined space.

PT's hubby got Covid and she was already exposed to him when I saw her at that appointment on a Thursday. He diagnosed on Saturday. She came down with it the following Tuesday.
I refused all appointments with her until 14 days after her diagnosis. Office called me and said that I could see her on the 5th day of her diagnosis, or the 7th or 9th and I said no thanks.

No one there wore masks except me, No one is watching out for us except ourselves.

i wish i had all day to speak to this.... teflon & so much more 😢

several days ago i mentioned on here, the recent studies of being exposed to poor air quality- expressly pollution with pm2.5 , which has been suggested and shown to influence an increase in our breast cancer rates

but yesterday i was mailed an article from washington post & 6/7 nyt had one as well, on a micro/nano plastics expose & how to TRY to keep them out of our food, water, blood, organs [meaning CELLS]

this brought the barbie song of last summers movie to mind; LIFE'S FANTASTIC - WE'RE ALL PLASTIC

covid is scary - but we are inTOXICating ourselves -

i don't know how [or if i'm permitted to link] yet - but both articles are easy to find

how dare we be so naive to not realize that 24/7, we're assaulting & inundating our cells to all manner of unnatural substances AND expecting them to clean up the mess we subject them to- of course they're going to rebel ;)

so i threw out all my plastic food btls, laundry btls, cups, dishes, baggies, tooth brush, etc. as i casually glanced down at my mastectomy scar & realized my PLASTIC staples were showing - har d har

doubtful that covid has made that much of an increase in our cancers

correlation does not equal causation - lol but what a great segue for convos on cancer cause AND dot dot dot... if we ain't part of the solution, we're part of the problem

Science is inexact. We ask questions, experiment, collect data, refine experiments and collect more data. We learn. Meanwhile, with a virus like Covid, they mutate as we're studying them and change their effects from their previous versions. It's astonishing that we are able to develop vaccines under these circumstances that help millions either not succumb to illness at all, or have mild cases.
I caught Covid at a funeral in 2023 although I had all the boosters and taken precautions. But that day I didn't wear a mask, nor did whoever was passing Covid at the funeral home. With paxlovid, I had a mild case, but was exhausted about 5 weeks.
We are told what is known and accepted by the bulk of the scientific experts at any given time. They are right so much more than they are wrong, I'm able to trust. My chances of staying cancer free after my treatment were stated at over 98% based on hundreds of thousands of others who had the same course of treatment. I asked questions and researched. They could not offer guarantees, I did not expect them. But I'm alive almost ten years later and I'm glad. My side effects annoy me, and one almost killed me in 2020, but they saved me again with science. So I still go with the probabilities that data suggest, and a Plan B.
