While I will never know for sure, I suspect there was an element of cancer cause/progression from the 2 shots I received. Cancer develops from DNA changes and some of the elements of the shots might’ve played a role in those IMO. I don’t trust any vaccine ever since and will never ever accept one.

I do guidelines have changed- they used to recommend that if you get the vaccine, you should wait several weeks before getting a mammo or other imaging. Apparently, as our bodies process the vaccine meds, it can cause swollen lymph nodes to show up on the mammo, which looked similar to a bc situation, and then you had to have additional imaging to rule out the false positive.

Since they are now used to seeing that, they say no waiting is necessary- I will err on the side of caution and space things anyway- no harm in how we schedule these things.

I have not met with my PCP yet for the fall- she and I usually go over what vaccines I should and should not consider, and time tables. Being as I will not daily be with my Special Ed students, my risk factors for picking up germies should be considerably less. But, my mom is 91 and my hubs has diabetes and hypertension- so she will probably recommend things anyway!
