Anyone Here Have An IDC ER+ Diagnosis And Choose Not To Take Hormone Blockers? How Is It Going? I Need More Info From Real People!
60 yrs old, IDC with DCIS (mucinous) Stage 1A, Grade 2, ER/PR+ HER2-
All the reading I have been doing on menopause has me concerned because the "side effects" of AI drugs are vasomotor symptoms that indicate heart health risks and geez I just don't need any more complications right now!
This is cancer we are talking about. Lethal cells. They feed off estrogen. If you are going to take another route than taking hormone blockers you better hope it kills estrogen or the estrogen in your body will spread your cancer.
Yes these drugs suck big time but for a year Anastrozole has kept my Stage 4 Breast cancer stable. For a year no tumors in my organs .
I personally love researching. I have so many things wrong with me I wonder how the hell I am alive.
I think sometimes it is actually possible to know too much. If these are rare and unusual side effects take precautions and try not to worry about it because it probably not going to happen and all that worry is bad for you too. I have a yearly echocardiogram and cardiology visit. In between I don't even think about it because I have done all I can do.
Thanks for the info, I will definitely be talking to my naturopath!
I'm going to natural route. My naturopath sent me Magnolia extract which has an antiproliferative effect on hormone-based breast cancers. She also sent me 750 milligrams of curcumin and Resveratrol. I just had a lumpectomy for invasive ductal carcinoma erpr positive, hr2 negative with one positive lymph node. She's doing a DNA test that will check on a cellular level if I have any other active cancer cells in my body and modify my treatment plan accordingly. I won't be doing radiation because it's a known carcinogen and too many miserable side effects with conventional hormone blockers. I'm stage 1
Is There Anyone On Here That Was Told Chemo Wasnt An Option?
Has Anyone Found Success With Natural Hormone Blockers Instead Of Taking The Suggested Medicine Like Letrazole?
