Anyone Else Get Ovarian Cysts While On Tamoxifen?
I went to ER on Friday due to immense pressure and pain in my pelvic. Turns out I have a 7 cm cyst on my ovary and endometrial cysts in my uterus. Iām on kadcyla and tamoxifen. I go see my oncologist on Friday and a follow up with on next Wednesday. I read that cysts are a potential side effect with tamoxifen just not sure how common.
Tamoxifen, a common hormonal therapy for breast cancer, can have various side effects. While ovarian cysts are not specifically mentioned in the knowledge base, tamoxifen can cause other side effects such as:
- Hot flashes
- Mood disturbances
- Vaginal discharge
- Vaginal bleeding
- Nausea
- Swelling
