After My Lumpectomy The Dr Has Put Me On Anastrozole. Does Anyone Have Side Effects From This? Only Thing I Am Noticing Is Dizziness.
I was put on Anastrozole after my surgery. I didn't have any aches or pains but was terribly moody. I switched to Exemestane and it's about the same.
I hear you @A MyBCTeam Member.
I also had side effects from Anastrozole. I switched to Letrozole and have less side effects. I also take a few things to decrease those side effects. For joint and muscle pain- Qunol CoQ-10, for hot flashes-Estroven Complete, for vaginal atrophy and dryness Revaree and Imvexxy Vaginal Suppositories. All of which have taken care of my pain, etc. So, yes there is hope!
@A MyBCTeam Member how long have you been on Anastrozole?
Hello. I am taking anastrozole and been experiencing severe joint and leg pain. I a considering stopping. There was a 3% chance that my DCIS would return in the margins. I can barely lift my leg to get out of shower or walk up 7 steps at work. Iām 60 but feel like 90 after starting the med.
Hi Peggy, I started Anastrozole Oct 2023 and stopped it for a month mid-April to mid-May 2024. After 5 months experienced stiff soreness in both legs, by the 7th month those were worse so that's when I took a month off. Now after 4 months, I am not experiencing much leg issues, but my hair is falling out but that's it so not sure if my legs will be stiff and sore again after I reach the 7th month point again.
I am not at all upset about my hair loss since my hair is so thick that its not noticeable but if I could choose between bald versus leg pain, I would choose baldness without a second thought. ā¤ļø
