Hello,
Unfortunately, the Aromatase Inhibitor drugs cause the vaginal dryness, atrophy, etc. as the main action is to stop estrogen production. So, yes I suffered greatly from the vaginal dryness. I am using the Revaree vaginal inserts that work great. That was not enough for me and my Medical Oncologist, and my Sexual Medicine MD consulted and agreed to put me on low dose Imvexxy vaginal inserts which is estrogen. Now I am great! Sexual activity is no longer extremely painful and is almost back to what I would call normal. I also take Estroven Complete for Hot Flashes which is a rhubarb extract and contains no estrogen. I have shared a lot of information in my profile regarding these products and others.
Hope this helps. Typically, we are finding that the Oncologists do not talk about the side effects that impact us, we just find them out!
Sending positive vibes your way.

Yes, individuals taking letrozole for breast cancer treatment may experience vaginal dryness as a side effect. Here are some details:

- Vaginal Dryness: Decreased vaginal lubrication can cause discomfort and pain during sex.
- Yeast Infections: While not explicitly mentioned in my knowledge base, hormonal changes from treatments like letrozole can sometimes lead to an increased risk of infections.

For managing vaginal dryness, some options include:
- Topical estradiol cream
- Olive oil
- Energy-based vaginal treatments like MonaLisa Touch, Geneveve by Viveve, and ThermiVa

Always consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice.
