I am sorry Alice! This a scary diagnosis.
Yes, it is a very aggressive type of breast cancer, but as long as you are not stage 4, the goal curative. National standard of care is chemo first (Taxol, Carboplatin, Pembrolizumab, Adriamycin, Cytoxan), followed by surgery and possibly radiation. It does respond well to chemotherapy.
I was diagnosed with TNBC in 2018. I am 5 1/2 years out of treatment, with no evidence of cancer.
