How Long Did You Have To Use The Underarm Pillow After Lumpectomy
My favorite was the ice pack. I used that under my are alot. For some reason my arm really hurt for a long while. With this lumpectomy, not only does my are hurt but all the way down to my middle finger which is really strange and ehen i straighten my arm out my finger goes numb
My surgeon did cut under my arm to get to the sentinel lymph nodes. Are we y through the breast, so my arm pit wasn’t too bad. I did a breast reduction on the other side, and reconstruction on the affected side. I found the seat belt harness to be very uncomfortable. I used the heart pillow for that, about 3-4 weeks.

Not long but it depended on what I had done that day. I think probably 6
to 8 weeks. I used it less as time passed. If I did a lot of work,
laundry, yard or house, I had to use it a lot. I really think we ladies
have a tendency to do to much too quickly . The pillow definitely helps. The folks on this team are amazing and have each experienced a different journey but every post is useful. Keep asking questions because we will respond and you'll have a much easier BC journey!
I used mine once. It didn’t really do much for me.
I had the mastectomy with lymph node dissection, the pillow I used was given to me by the hospital, it was just a small U-shaped pillow to go under the arm to alleviate pressure and friction against the surgical site. Interesting what different surgeons allow-
