How Long Do You Need To See Your Oncologist? I Am 11 Years Cancer Free.
TNBC, stage 1 2018. Had chemo, surgery, radiation. My provider discharged me 5 1/2 years out of treatment back to my PCP.
Oh, forever. No, really, great question!! Depending on the situation, they usually taper off after 5 to 6 years but every situation is different so I would get a composition book and write down your questions and feelings about your continued visits. Talk to your doctor. Check the questions off as they are answered and you totally understand. Not sure if you have other health issues that are concerning or if your oncologist does things a bit differently. Ask him and keep asking until you understand. Please stay in touch and let us know whats going on. We love you and we care. Endless hugs.
