Just had BMX with TE 9 days ago. I'm still having sharp pains in my sternum when I breathe. Is this normal?

My PS did research in using Botox to paralyze the chest muscle and it worked I didn't use very much pain meds and the fills were fine.

I had a diep not TE's but I had alot of sternum pain for at least 6 months. Try to bare with it. If you have any pain meds prescribed try some at night to help you sleep through it. It will get better over time.

My PS's PA told me that that pain is where the pec muscles attach and the TE are pulling hard against it. I had not had any fills at this point and she explained the TE themselves have to find room. It did subside. Muscle relaxers helped.

When I had sharp pains around my sternum it was actually a gallbladder attack which needed to be removed.

I remember my PS told me to take the muscle relaxers if I had pain that felt like a heart attack. Sounds pretty normal, that area has been through a lot and will take some adjusting. Hang in there.
