Thyroid cancer in 2011, complete thyroidectomy. Diagnosed with IDC in 2014. Had biopsy done on thyroid. Showed no cancer but found cancer after it was taken out.

Thyroid cancer in 2012, complete thyroidectomy. IDC in 2014. Was told the same thing..no relation. Bullshit..when your thyroid doesn't work it throws your hormones out of whack, hence estrogen overload..

I had thyroid cancer found June 2011. Localized in the thyroid. Surgery and ablation, then clean bill of health. Found lump in breast November 20, 2012, mammo, ultrasound, biopsy, then diagnosis on December 4, 2012. Stage 3C invasive ductal with involvement of at least 8 lymph nodes. I had had a clear mammogram on August 24, 2012. The cancer wasn't missed, it wasn't there. I too believe there is a connection between my two cancers but have been told that there isn't.
