Tooth Decay After Chemo And Radiation?

A MyBCTeam Member asked a question 💭
Crystal Lake, IL

Recently had a dental exam and was told I had several cavities and the two teeth needed to be pulled. Although I did not see my dentist as often as I should. I never had cavities. I was wondering if any one else experienced tooth decay after high dose chemo and radiation?

YES!!! Chemo ruins your teeth. I have had so many caps since my chemo and ven had to have a bridge removed because the jaw bone shrunk. My Dentist said "Chemo"...to be expected..
