I have cyst on my kidney too.. and lung. I'm cysty.. cysts don't become cancerous. !!!! I asked my oncologist and surgeon twice.. they said no, cysts do not become cancerous.

My mother has 2 cysts that have been on her kidney for almost 10 years. Her urologist said 50% of the population have these cysts. Cysts are fluid filled and sometimes grow, then recede, just like breast cysts. I am praying your cyst is just that....a benign bump!! Take care

Yes they found a flap type custom my kidney an it was cancer but the oncologists found it before my chemo an it was not related to my other cancer an it was slow growing ,chemo an radiation would not help it so after the chemo & radiation was over they had to take it out cause it was on top of my kidney.

Sorry for the late reply... my CT from last April showed a cyst on my spleen, and said it appears benign. It is so hard not to worry about it though!
