Had Anyone Ever Heard That Lack Of Vitamin D Can Cause Breast Cancer Recurrence?
I guess it has not been proven but it is believed to be true. Hummmm.
calcium and vitamin d keep your bones strong and are useful if the cancer should spread would be able to fight it better
I read an article recently about lack of Vit D causing recurrences. Canโt remember where I read it though๐๐๐
Make sure you are using lots of quality sun screen when you are in the sun now. That was mentioned to me so I do and also wear a hat.
Dairy is NOT a good way to get calcium despite what the dairy industry has brainwashed people through decades of marketing campaigns to believe. Check out: http://www.pcrm.org/nbBlog/white-lies-five-milk... There are many many healthful food sources of calcium - almonds, broccoli, kale to name just a few..
I asked my ONC tomtest my vit D since it had never been tested. He told me Medicare would not approve it since there was not a medical reason to test it. I live in cold NE Ohio where we rarely see sun. It wasn't until my ENDO got my DEXA scan results back showing advance Osteoperosis that she tested my vit D levels. They were 61 last summer and 74 last week when they tested before my Prolia shot. I take 4 vit D pills a day, so 8000 iu's. I am suppose to supplement with 1200 mg of calcium plus what I eat. I am a vegan so it is hard to get good calcium through food. I do eat Greek yogurt to get calcium.
