i feel like this is a question I can address having gone through all the stuff (emotions and all) as a triple neg BC patient & survivor. Before my biopsy, I read up on all the sub-types of BC and learned that triple negative was normally the most aggressive and hardest to treat type and to my relief, occurred in less than 20 percent of BC cases. Great odds, I thought. THEN I GOT THE PATHOLOGY REPORT. Probably the toughest single day of my cancer journey when I saw the words TRIPLE NEGATIVE ... Real emotional low. I cried. I cried some more. I called my daughter and she reassured me that it didn't matter. I could beat it. So I gave myself a day, and then I decided to dig in. More research, talks with various oncologists, etc. And you know what? Triple negative has the same response to the BIG THREE: surgery, chemo and radiation as other subtypes. Stage is even more important so if you catch it early enough, it doesn't have the chance to spread (I was Stage 1). The big difference is that Triple Neg doesn't have a single maintenance drug like Tamoxifen or aramatose inhibitors or hormone blockers or anything to prevent recurrence. While that's a bit scary once you get past the standard treatments ... there's a silver lining. Because we take no meds for cancer, we have no side effects like bone pain, etc. Which means we often feel better and more normal. We all know that the treatments often make you feel worse than the cancer does. So I have developed my own all natural post treatment regiment with essential oils and CBD oil. I use organic agave instead of sugar in my tea. I make small, healthy changes and rely on nutrition and health regiments. And you know what? I am still cancer-free. And I feel GREAT one and a half years after my DX.

Experiencing anger after a diagnosis of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is common. Many individuals on MyBCTeam, a social network for people with breast cancer, share their emotional struggles, including anger, depression, and anxiety. These emotions can be overwhelming, especially given the aggressive nature and limited treatment options for TNBC. Support from others who understand these challenges can be essential in managing these feelings.
