The safety of collagen supplements for people with estrogen-positive breast cancer is not well-established. Here are some key points from my knowledge base:

- Lack of Specific Studies: There aren't specific studies on the use of collagen supplements in people with breast cancer.
- Potential Risks: Collagen in the body plays a role in how cancer cells grow and spread, but the impact of taking collagen supplements is unknown.
- Supplement Safety: The FDA does not evaluate supplements for safety or efficacy, so the contents may not match the label and could be contaminated.
- Consult Healthcare Team: Always talk to your doctor or oncologist before taking any supplements, including collagen.

It's crucial to discuss any supplements with your healthcare team to avoid potential risks and interactions.

I've come down w/this problem as well. Visited my nearby drug store and read the info on OTC hydrocortisone creams. If it was approved for genital use, I bought it and applied it to the area; it helped the symptoms and I'm not nearly as uncomfortable as I was. Pls check w/your onco doc; everybody is different. I'm triple neg, 78 yrs old and not sexually active. Best of luck everyone! Take care.
