What Kind Of Sports Bra, Bralette, Etc After Double Mastectomy?

A MyBCTeam Member asked a question 💭
Sidney, OH

I do not want padding...just go flat. Can a sports bra work or does it have a too defined cup? The band would probably measure 42. Or maybe go without anything? Please give me your opinion.

It’s the best. I don’t miss having breasts and I sure as heck don’t miss the uncomfortable bras. You take care of yourself.

If there is anything good about a double mastectomy is that you never have to wear a bra again. I am a survivor and have no problem being flat and free of bras forever.

I know what you mean...today I went without. At first the surgeon wanted something to keep it from swelling. I am in my 4th week post-op and this really feels good without. I was always pulling up my straps, etc. It is a good decision.

I have trouble with sides high and they do irritate the incisions. At some time when everything is healed I will probably go without. Thanks.

I am going to try to look for some kind of sport bra and see how that does...or maybe go without.
