Thank you for this! I decided to try the Abraxane. Only one treatment so far. I didn’t react to taxol until 2nd one, so keeping my fingers crossed. I’m also stage 1 IDC, ER/PR-, HER 2+ so I wanted to try again. So glad you are feeling well now and hoping radiation goes ok🩷

I had a severe reaction to Taxol. Didn't figure it out until 3rd round. Sent me to ER and had pneumonitis. Was on oxygen for 3 weeks. They were moving me over to abraxane but my DR told me it was same family so didn't want to risk another reaction. Ended my treatments at that point. I am 66 and I have stage 1 IDC with oncotype score of 53. Did the AC chemo for the 4 rounds, no problems, but only 3 taxol of the 12. I am doing partial breast radiation with total of 5 treatments over 2 weeks. Monday is my last treatment. I had a problem with signing up for the radiation because of my lungs. We will see later down the road if it sends me back into pneumonitis, always a chance. All of this is so hard to know what to do. Seems like they save you to give you alot of other problems. Not their fault, its all they have. I have been off chemo since May 16 and I feel normal again. If you don't feel right with their decision, deep down in your gut, thats the little voice! Good luck in your journey and know that you will get to the end and its all you thought it would be.
