For me, and my onc network, we have a social worker who helps with financial aid. Out of the blue, she told me about a local charity group that gives $2,500 to bc patients to help with things like rent, medical bills, etc. with little to no information required except your wish list and diagnosis...a one page form. I filled it out in November and two weeks later, got a check and a list of other services for possible financial aid. I even got a $25 gas card! What a blessing as bills are piling up. If it's not offered up, don't be afraid to ask!

Yes there are places out there for help. Another option is to try and set up a payment plan that you CAN AFFORD. I applied for help with transportation costs, that's another part of the cancer journey. Some health insurance companies pay for this. If you don't please rember to include this in your cost of breast cancer care. Not all of us live in an area where they have mass transit or our medical care within 30 or 40 miles from where we live. All cost have to be included in our breast cancer journey. With the costs of everything every little bit of help is appreciated.
Love,hugs to all.❤️🥰

There are many cancer organizations that will help. These are some: Cancer Care.org, United Breast Cancer Fund, Susan G. Komen, Living Beyond Breast Cancer. Also try to see if your State Medicaid program has a Breast Cancer program. Sometimes you can be eligible for this. I hope this helps. Have a great day everyone at BCTEAM.
