Has Anyone Else Experienced Bad Underarm Body Odor After Surgery?

I use Lume deodorant and it has totally eliminated my underarm smell!

Absolutely!! And I felt I sweated more! Lume seems to work well for me, I tried a couple of others, but after a few months I started having a reaction to them- so far, Lume has worked great. I prefer their cream stick. The solid left a residue in the armpits of my shirts that was really hard to get out. I don't have that problem with the cream. Target sells Lume, so you might want to try there. I order from the site, and usually get 3 at a time for the free shipping, but if you only want to try one- consider Target. Hugs!

Yes, several members of MyBCTeam have reported experiencing bad underarm body odor after surgery. Here are some shared experiences:

- One member mentioned having horrid axillary body odor from the side of their mastectomy and lymph node dissection, even after showering.
- Another member noted that their underarm odor became much more noticeable after lymph node removal or breast surgery.
- A member with an incredible sense of smell observed that the odor worsened after lymphedema massage therapy, possibly due to the release of buildup during the therapy.

These experiences highlight that underarm odor can be a common issue following such surgeries.

I had a Lumpectomy 1 week ago & the incision is under my arm, I have used Lume for about 2 years now is it safe to use during my radiation time? I haven't used it under that arm since surgery waiting for my incision to heal.
