Joint And Muscle Pains 2 Months After Starting Letrozole
Would it be safe to switch to another hormone blocker and switch back to Letrozole if side effects are worse with new medication? Does anyone have experience with this?
Hi.
I was on Letrozole as of July 2021. I've been suffering with bone pain for the past 6 months or so. Dr took me off of Letrozole in Jan and has now started me on Exemestane as of today. Pretty sure I can go back on Letrozole if any of the other AI meds are worse for me.
Hi there, I take Anastrozole and that med has been causing joint pain especially in my hips, legs, shoulder, arms! I am currently going for physical therapy due to lymph node dissection.
I am not sure that switching would help!
Hope you feel better soon!
Thank you @A MyBCTeam Member! I’m trying get more exercises in throughout my day! Have a good day😊
I’m pretty sure you can try another drug, but side effects seem pretty much the same for all of them from what I have researched. I am doing a Chair Yoga program for 20 min a day, and have found that movement really helps.
I'm on Anastrozole since being diagnosed 8/2023. I just don't feel like myself and have started having a lot of low lack pain and sciatica. I will be 78 in May and have had 3 lumbar spinal fusions so this pain is very concerning. I have seen a pain doc in the past and he has done 2 Rhizotomy procedures...one on each side of my lower spine.
Pretty sure my Anastrozole is a contributing factor.
I would love to hear a few thoughts from the group. Thanks. I'm glad to be here!
