Ditto to everything Laura just said! You need positivity and lightness around you. Surround yourself with people who can let you be honest about what you are feeling and cry with you when needed, have those that can always smile close at hand as well, and those that can support those around you- they need some care too. No need for weeds in your bouquet!!

Stay as far away from them as possible and definitely don't talk to them about your cancer.

I am disgusted that anyone would call you a cry baby! Shame on them!
This is a terrifying journey, with or without chemo. The emotional toll that a cancer takes is a lot! Plus chemo! Yikes! You deserve way better than that! Personally, I would distance myself from anyone bringing so much negativity. I was so fortunate that my family and friends were hugely supportive during chemo! You need to use your energy to get yourself through this, and not waste it on toxic people.
I believe in you, and know that will get through this.
Keep fighting strong warrior!

Dealing with condescending family members during chemotherapy can be incredibly challenging. Here are some strategies shared by members of MyBCTeam:

- Seek Support Elsewhere: Surround yourself with people who lift you up. One member mentioned, "You need people around who will lift you up. The rest just have to get out of the way."
- Forgive and Move On: Some members found peace by forgiving those who couldn't cope. "I accepted those who helped and forgave those who ran," shared one member.
- Communicate Through a Trusted Person: If direct communication is too stressful, ask a trusted family member or friend to communicate on your behalf. This can give you the quiet time you need to process your emotions.

Remember, it's important to prioritize your emotional well-being during this time.
