Has Anyone Chosen DIEP Flap Over Implants?

I am curious how the recovery time was, how the surgery went, and how big the scar is. I am also interested if anyone has used thigh tissue/fat instead of abdominal. Thank you for any help you can give. I am underweight so I may also not be a candidate for DIEP flap. I am meeting with a plastic surgeon about it in two weeks.
