For Those Of You That Did Implants, What Size Did You Do? Did You Go Bigger, Smaller Or Stay The Same?
I’m going in every couple weeks to get my tissue expanders filled and thought I wanted to be as close as possible to the size I was before double mastectomy but now I’m not sure.
Like GabriellaB, I was a DD before bilateral mastectomy. After all fills were complete I am a full B (small C maybe). That is what my Dr. recommended as optimal for me. It has been 1 year since the expanders were replaced with the final implants. I am happy with my results. Actually clothes fit better. Shoulders fill better.
Years ago I was DD and had a breast reduction to a C cup. My breasts grew back to a D. (I know, that’s not suppose to happen). I didn’t like having large breasts and decided that after my double mastectomy I could have my full B-C cup again. Now I don’t even have to wear a bra and I’m very happy with that size. You will be able to decide how big you want them as they are filling the expander(s). When you get to the size where you think that’s what you want, they will stop filling them.
Hi Melissa, I was a D cup before bilateral mastectomies with reconstruction. I was thinking a C cup would be nice. After having 3 fills so far, I’ve decided a full B is all I want. Every fill I’m left in pain for a few days and can barely lift my arms up. I know I’ll be more than satisfied going smaller. It’s a personal decision, I know you’ll make the right decision for yourself 💕
Hi Melissa, Your doctors can advise what’s best for you. I was a DD before the mastectomy and I’ll probably be able to be a full B small C with expanders. My doctor told me that I will have less complications by going smaller. Wishing you the best!
I stayed the same size and happy with the results
