Do Most Have A Yearly Gynecological Yearly Exam At The 2 Year Point After BC Is Discovered?
ILC lumpectomy 11/21/22
I just saw the gynecologist this month to rule out Candida infection and thorough pelvic exam was done .I was back the next day for ultrasound which found nothing.
The only item not examined was breasts.
Am menopausal. This was not my doctor but another in the office.
I feel that this is an extra appointment as I am still seeing breast surgeon, and medical oncologist and radiation oncologist all this year through Jan 2025 to check breasts.
She said that I must… read more
if you have Medicare and you’ve had breast cancer, You’re going gynecologist can request a Yearly examination for continuation of breast examination/nodes, and pelvic examination. we do not need to wait two years like those that have never had breast cancer that are 65 and now on Medicare. We qualify for yearly examinations. We are high-risk.
I also see a Dermatologist, gynecologist, the oncologist, plastic surgeon Every once in a while, I will allow all Drs and to check and have asked them to check my breast as I did have a reoccurrence. So I am on board for All the doctors mentioned above to check for reoccurrence or any other kind of cancer.
she gynecologist yearly, she does breast and pelvic orders and ultrasound yearly
Oncologist will stay on top with pet scans and Bone density, sometimes bone density with contrast, also watches my lungs as I Do you have nodules?
sometimes I feel like the whole things and overshoot, but I fell through the cracks when I had the reoccurrence nobody was paying attention at that point, so I say bring it on… Back to one of the breast, cancer sisters, saying that she could only see or have examination every two years because of Medicare you can press forward and get clearance for once a year because we are high risk. Blessings to everybody. 🙏🏻
Hi this is what I think I know .
:-) You’ve had cancer, and you’re taking certain hormone blockers these can potentially cause uterine cancer.
Those of us have gone through menopause and still have our uterus, and are taking hormone blockers. There’s still a possibility.
on certain hormone blockers. can cause uterine cancer.
I have had some friends go and get a complete hysterectomy because they’re taking tamoxifen, You must watch very closely if you still have a uterus please continue to get a Pap smear every year, no matter how old you are, whether you’ve gone through menopause, and even if you were taking hormone blockers that don’t bring on the side effect of possible uterine cancer like tamoxifen does please, please continue to get a Pap smear every year. Here in the US, if you were 65 and you have Medicare, you will qualify to have a gynecological exam yearly as we are high priority patients.
we also are considered high priority patients in receiving mammograms or ultrasounds every year through a gynecological yearly examinations, at 65 here in the US if you never had cancer yearly mammograms also come to an end as Pap smears do, I think it happens every two years after you turn 65… my friends of common. Please follow through with your Gyno. I know I posted some of this already, but I thought I would pull in the piece about some of the hormone blockers can cause uterine cancer. Blessings.🙏🏻🌞
I still have to go to gynecologist every year even though I had a full.hysterectomy. Dr checked my breasts too. I have Radiation breast she said. On my right side where cancer was. Im not interested in having reconstruction. I feel.like I've been thru enough. 5 years cancer survivor.
I am 6 years out from my dx and go to my gyn, surgeon and oncologist annually. My gyn checks breasts (implants) and does pelvic, no Pap smear. I’m ok with redundancy. If it means no more cancer, I’ll oblige.
Thanks Brenda, she's been gone since 2003 . Ovarian cancer is hideous. After she died I got her pathology report, it was awful. I can't believe here we are 21 years later and still no detection tool to diagnose OV. Still the silent killer.
