I Have A Question About The Medication, Exemestane

I have a question. I have stage 4 breast cancer (metastatic), which has spread to my left lung. My oncologist took me off the medications, Ibrance and Anastrozole because they caused severe side effects, including heart palpitations. I am currently only using Exemestane.

I was also diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic reoccurrence 2 yrs ago and have been on anastrozole with Kisqali. It has been working well for me. Be your own advocate work with your health care team to figure out what’s best for you.

Stage 4 Breast can usually does require 2 different drugs.

Definitely get a 2nd opinion. I am on anastrozole and verzenio and thank goodness no side effects.

Hello Rezja. Please talk to your doctor or seek a second opinion if it worries you. Please don't stress yourself out. Take it one day at a time. Be your own advocate and don't ignore your instincts. Also read about exemestane at www.sciencedirect.com. An article there was interesting on exemestane. Take care 😊🌹
