Undergoing Sparing Mastectomy With An Implant Reconstruction. Is My Whole Skin And Nipple Expected To Stay Numb ?
I am interested in how the reconstructed breast with implant feels in terms of nerves and sensation. Do you feel anything when you touch your breast? Or all the nerves are gone? Can it be repaired? Anything to do before surgery to prevent the complete loss of sensation?
Hi Lin, I just had my nipple sparing mastectomy on the 16th, with an expander put in. I have no feeling as of yet, it’s kinda a different feeling, like you can feel pressure but if you touch the area you don’t feel that. Dr says it may come back in time.
