I Recently Have Been Diagnosed With Stage 1 Breast Cancer Estrogen And Progesterone Sensitive, Does That Make It HER2? Have Not Had Lumpec
Has anyone tried any alternative method de for their breast cancer either prior or post surgery instead of normal protocol?
I did not. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, which is the most lethal type of breast cancer. I don’t want to leave my family.
It does get confusing, my diagnosis is HER2+ (Human Epidermal Receptor 2)
I know others that are positive for both of the Hormone Receptors, Estrogen and Progesterone, and they have been referred to in the notes as HR2+, meaning positive for 2 different Hormone Receptors. Sometimes people just say ER and PR positive- that seems to be the least confusing! Hugs!
Being estrogen and progesterone receptor-positive does not automatically mean your breast cancer is HER2-positive. HER2 status is determined separately by testing for the HER2 protein. If your cancer is HER2-positive, it means it has high levels of the HER2 protein, which affects treatment options.
